Paw Print Fritattas

If you’re whipping up a brunch for your family on the weekend why not make something for your pup too, after all they are family! Here’s a cute, fun way to incorporate eggs into your pups diet.

Tools:

  • knife or food processor to chop the spinach
  • measuring cup and teaspoon
  • medium size mixing bowl
  • paw print silicone mold for baking (or any other shape you may have)

Ingredients:

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric
  • packed cup of finely chopped spinach
  • extra virgin olive or unrefined extra virgin coconut oil to coat your pan

Instructions:

  • preheat oven to 400º
  • mix the 2 eggs in a medium size bowl
  • add 1/4 tsp of turmeric, mix and set aside
  • finely chop one cup packed spinach (remove stems)
  • add spinach to eggs and mix well
  • grease your silicone mold tray with olive oil or coconut oil
  • fill each mold in silicone tray 3/4 of the way (eggs will puff up when baking)
  • bake for approximately 20 minutes
  • check for doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center of each fritatta (toothpick will come out clean when they are done)
  • remove from oven, let cool, then remove from mold

Make sure fritattas are cool enough to eat so they don’t burn your dog’s mouth. You can store the cooled fritattas in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days.

Your pup will love these, mine do!
