Peanut Butter Banana Pupcakes

Do you have a dog who deserves an extra special treat? I know I do! These Peanut Butter Banana Pupcakes will have your dog begging for more! All of the ingredients are human grade, so you can enjoy them, too.

This recipe makes 24 pupcakes.

Tools:

  • mini muffin pan
  • mixer

Ingredients:

  • ¾ cup whole wheat flour
  • ¼ cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ cup natural creamy peanut butter
  • ½ cup mashed banana
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup water

Peanut Butter Cream Cheese Frosting:

  • 8 oz. cream cheese, room temperature
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter

Instructions:

  • preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • lightly oil or use liners in a mini muffin pan
  • in a medium sized bowl, whisk together whole wheat flour, old-fashioned oats, and baking powder set aside
  • cream together peanut butter and mashed banana with mixer
  • mix in eggs
  • mix in the prepared flour mixture, alternating with water, until combined
  • fill each mini muffin cup about ¾ of the way with batter
  • bake for 6-8 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the middle of a pupcake comes out clean
  • let cool completely

Icing Instructions:

  • using a mixer combine cream cheese and peanut butter, beat together until creamy
  • fill a pastry bag with tip or a large ziplock with corner cut off with icing
  • when pupcakes are cool pipe frosting onto each one
  • top with an additional dog treat if you wish
