Pizza Pup Treats

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 2 cups unbleached white flour
  • 1/2 cup corn meal
  • 1 egg
  • 1 3/4 cups of water – 2 cups of water (if the dough comes out a bit dry, just add a little more water)
  • 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons parsley
  • 1 teaspoon basil
  • 1 cup grated pizza cheese
  • 1 cup chopped sun-dried tomatoes

Instructions:

  • preheat oven to 375
  • combine and mix all ingredients well in a large bowl until a stiff dough is formed
  • on a floured surface, roll out dough to approximately 1/2″ thick and then cut out desired shapes
  • once your shapes are cut out place on a greased or parchment lined cookie sheet
  • bake for approximately 50 minutes

*optional: remove from oven after 40 minutes, brush lightly with olive oil and sprinkle extra cheese on top

  • serve to your furry friend once cooled

These treats are best when stored in airtight containers in the fridge for about a week.

If you want them to last longer, pop some in the freezer for later, that way you are assured to have some pizza treats any time your pup is craving some!
