Shelter Spotlight: Golden Girl

Puppies, and small breed dogs seem to always get the most attention and find forever homes quickly whether they are stuck in a shelter or with a rescue, while senior dogs always seem to be passed over as if they don’t exist. To me, this is a ridiculous reason to pass up a specific dog–seniors have so much love to give!

For 534 days, 9-year-old Diamond has been living behind bars. She was surrendered to the shelter in April 2016 when her owner could no longer care for her, and is living lost and alone. Diamond is extremely depressed living in a loud shelter and has not had one single meet and greet; this is not where she should be in her golden years of life.

I know there has to be someone out there with a big heart, a soft bed, and a sunny yard where Diamond can play. All this beautiful girl needs to be happy is some love, and she will return that unconditionally.

Please dear friends, family, readers and followers, I am begging for your help to get Diamond out of the shelter. Help me find this beautiful senior girl a loving home!

Diamond is a beautiful floppy eared senior Pittie mix. She is a smart, healthy, frisky, lady that loves to play fetch and take walks. Unfortunately what makes it even harder on this senior is that she must be an only pet, she has never been properly socialized and would not get along with a sibling. Diamond needs an adult-only household, or even a home with older teens. She is housebroken, knows her basic commands, and is very friendly. In order to adopt Diamond, a meet and greet is required at the shelter.

If you or anyone you know is in the market for a pet, Diamond can be the one for you. I ask that you tell everyone you know to come meet this beautiful senior dog at the shelter, I guarantee Diamond can prove to you how wonderful senior dogs can be!

I ask that you help me to share and network this beautiful girl as she needs to get out of the shelter AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Share this post, head over to her Facebook page to like and share, the more exposure the better. Together let’s get Diamond out of the shelter and into a loving home where she can live the life she really deserves! No one should be spending their glory days behind bars, would you want to?
