Shelter Spotlight: Radar Needs A Hero

Meet Radar, a stunning 3 ½ year old, 70 pound Shepherd mix who is looking for someone to love. This poor girl really needs someone to give her a chance! She doesn’t deserve to live her life out behind kennel bars, she has done nothing wrong and spends long days in “doggie jail”.

Radar was found as a stray in the summer of 2016 and unfortunately no one ever came to claim her. Somebody was not very good to this baby girl as she came to the shelter fearful and nervous; Radar would continuously circle in her kennel until her paws bled. She is so fearful in her kennel it’s best that she have a meet and greet with visitors in the yard so she can have the time to warm up and play with you. I promise you, you won’t be disappointed.

One of my pups was rescued off the street, extremely fearful of everything and everyone. I brought her in to foster, and gave her a chance. With lots of love, patience and careful slow introductions to both people and things that scared her she became a different dog. Believe me with the right person/family Radar will come out of her shell and become a wonderful family member.

Radar is a favorite with the volunteers, she is very affectionate and playful. She loves to play with toys and to swim in the kiddy pool. She is nervous of strangers and requires slow introductions to people. She will need a quiet home with an experienced/savvy owner/family and due to her strength a home with no young kids would be best.

Once Radar warms up to you she is so cute that she gives kisses and will nibble at your nose. She does however need to be your one and only furry family member. The love she will give back to you will fill your heart with more joy than you’ve ever felt in your life!

I ask that you all please help me share and network this beautiful girl all over the place. She needs to get noticed so her forever person/family can see her and go to the shelter and rescue her from her life behind bars. Help me help Radar, together we can find her a forever home where she can live the life she really deserves!
