Second Chance Rescue NYC (SCR) was formed in 2009, and has saved countless dogs and cats. They are 100% not for profit and to date have relied solely on donations from the public.

For more information about this wonderful rescue, to volunteer, adopt, or to make a donation, please visit their website.

CAMP SCR is an extension of SCR. Their mission, “CAMP SCR is a private boarding home and safe haven for dogs with serious medical and behavioral issues that need rehabilitation, extra love and care. We have fostered over 120 dogs thus far–from bottle-feeding puppies to weekly rehabilitation therapy for dogs that have been severely abused or injured and require intense healing. On average there are 8-10 boarders at a time and 15 during the summer months. Through Love, compassion and caring, CAMP SCR creates a safe, clean sanctuary for rescued dogs to heal and grow physically, mentally and emotionally, preparing each dog for their furever home.”

There are currently 17 campers in residence. I am reaching out to my wonderful, generous readers, CAMP SCR is in need of supplies. You can view their wishlist here:
