Welcome to Paws Give Me Purpose! I look forward to sharing my purpose, knowledge, laughter and tears with you. I hope you enjoy the time you spend here with me.

A woman on a mission to change the world one dog at a time. Mom of many both my own and fosters, rescuer, volunteer, advocate and animal activist. No dog left behind!

Paws Gives Me Purpose exists on the kindness of strangers, the dedicate supporters who follow our efforts, the loyalty of friends, Veterinarians, hospitals, rescues, shelters, and private individuals who view us as a staple in the rescue community.  Know that you are helping to make a difference in dogs lives and that you are the driving force behind me.

Located in Southern New Jersey,  we are NOT a 501c(3) rescue organization and your donations to our plight are not tax-deductible. We provide for these pups dependent upon the private donations of generous friends, family, businesses, individuals and out of our own pockets. We are limited on both space and funding, as well as physical ability. We are able to take in and provide for only a limited number of dogs at any given time (determined on a case by case basis).

I have literally surrendered my home to the dogs. Please help us continue to grow, donate, sponsor, share, get involved! You’ll be glad you did!

As a person who has been a part of the animal rescue community for 20+ years I have learned and experienced many things that I want to share with you. Do’s and don’ts with your dog, behavioral challenges, medications, essential oil use, food/treat recipes and so much more! A one stop dog resource of information for you to enjoy.

Shelter Spotlight: “Home Is Where You Belong” – Socrates

Often times people place blame on a dog’s behavior and just label them as a “bad dog”, a “bad breed”, “aggressive”, etc — none of these labels are ever the dog’s fault. A dog’s behavior is molded by his surroundings and his history, including the human beings that train him to do bad things instead …
