At our Sanctuary, activities vary by area and shift, but these are the most common:
- Administering medications, supplements, fluids, insulin and other necessary injections
- Washing and changing dogs in wraps/diapers
- Grooming (bathing, trimming, brushing, nail cutting etc;)
- Cleaning (animal living areas, washing and refilling water bowls, laundry, dishes, mopping, etc.)
- Providing the dogs with enrichment (petting, playtime, etc.)
- Walking the animals with a leash or stroller
- Preparing and serving meals
- Upkeep on the grounds (pooper scooping, raking leaves, taking out trash etc.)
- Maintenance projects (fixing gates, moving furniture, etc.)
- Sanctuary errands (pick up dog medications, meat orders etc.)
- Transport of dogs
