Precious Paco

For many of the dogs who make Paws Give Me Purpose their home, it is the first time in their lives they feel safe and loved, and we make sure these feelings last forever.

Adorable Paco is one of the tiny Paws Give Me Purpose Sanctuary residents. He came to us from a very difficult past where he lived in a very dirty house with many other Chihuahuas. They were all severely neglected, mistreated, barely had food and lived covered in their own filth; the owner was sadly a hoarder.

Paco and his siblings were in very bad shape, and unfortunately not all of them were strong enough to survive, Paco was one of the only ones that made it. We never gave up on Paco and thankfully, he fought his way back to health.

Due to Paco’s difficulty adjusting to new people and environments, it was decided living here in Sanctuary was the best thing for him. Paco is very untrusting, in fact, he really only cares for one human, his rescuer.

Paco has been trying for a long time to like other people, but his past has made him fearful and he is afraid humans will hurt him and has bitten many times out of fear.

Paws Give Me Purpose has promised Paco that we will continue to give him his best life daily with unconditional love for the rest of his life, but he still needs your prayers, love and support too.

This is what we do at Paws Give Me Purpose.

Paco is still in search of his very own lifetime sponsor; could you be the one to make his wish come true? If you are interested in signing up to be Paco’s sponsor please reach out to us directly.

Fabulous Francesca

Fabulous Francesca really loves spending time snuggling up in this giant, cozy bed especially on those chilly days when she prefers to stay indoors.

At almost 16 years old, Francesca is one of the sweetest, most beautiful girls both inside and out. We find it very hard to understand why someone decided to toss her away like yesterday’s newspaper.

For those not familiar with Francesca’s background, you can read all about her at the following link:

There is nothing in the world like watching Francesca blossom here at Paws Give Me Purpose Sanctuary and enjoying the life she really deserves. All dogs are beautiful, but senior dogs like Francesca have a way of touching our hearts in a way that changes everything.

We are making sure that Francesca will enjoy her golden years to the fullest and will be as spoiled and loved as she should be.

This is what we do here at Paws Give Me Purpose Inc.

Francesca will be celebrating her sweet 16 at the end of this month and she would love nothing more than to have a sponsor of her very own! If anyone is interested in sponsoring Francesca’s lifetime care in Sanctuary, please reach out to us directly.

Sponsor Delicious Snickers

Here at Paws Give Me Purpose, every day is a new beginning. For Snickers and many other special needs seniors, we are that special place where they can take a deep breath knowing they are safe, smile, and start again.

For those not familiar with his story, Snickers was abandoned at the same shelter TWICE by humans he had considered his forever family. While we do not know the exact reasons stated for his surrender, it doesn’t make his story any less heartbreaking. The second surrender almost cost Snickers his life!

One of our devoted volunteers happened to be at the shelter picking up another pup in need when they noticed this sweet boy and were told he had just 2 hours left to live. She quickly sent us a text, and our hearts immediately said yes.

Most recently, Snickers had been struggling with the loss of his doggie girlfriend, Betty Boop, and finds himself a little more lost now without his doggie friend Victor.

Although Victor was highly dog selective, Snickers was one of his good friends here at the Sanctuary, and Snickers is missing him very much; so much so that he has been sleeping in Victor’s bed, snuggling Victor’s blankets and toys.

People who believe that dogs don’t grieve really have it wrong. Dogs may not necessarily know that another dog in their life has died, but they do know that the other dog is missing. In general, grieving dogs who have recently lost a close doggie friend may lose their spark and suddenly seem less perky, attentive, and active, and that has been the case with Snickers.

We are doing everything possible to help Snickers through this difficult time by giving him all the extra activity, love and attention he needs and he is feeling a little better every day as he helps us to feel better too.

Our promise to Snickers is to continue to give him his best life daily with unconditional love for the rest of his life! If anyone ever doubts us, know that this is what we do at Paws Give Me Purpose.

Snickers is still hoping to find his very own lifetime sponsor, could it be you? If you are interested in signing up to be Snicker’s sponsor please reach out to us directly.
