Sanctuary can be defined as a place of peace, refuge or safety, a place where people or animals can live and be protected. This is what we do here at Paws Give Me Purpose; we treat every dog that comes through our doors with excellent care, compassion and love.

Watching an almost 22-year-old dog play like a puppy after living a life of criminal neglect and deprivation for so long really makes all of our struggles worth it. Calvin is learning what it is truly like to be loved, and that humans can be kind.

The snow has begun to fall here in Southern New Jersey and the staff and volunteers here at Paws Give Me Purpose are very busy making sure we have everything our Sanctuary residents could possibly need including having extra medications and heaters on hand to keep our seniors extra warm and comfortable.
