Seventeen

This is the face of seventeen years of abuse and neglect.

Bred simply to be used for seventeen years of continued breeding until she was no longer useful.

Her broken body tells us a story of seventeen years with lack of medical care, and all she wants is to be loved.

This is the face we want you all to remember, the happier face, the hopeful face, the beautiful soul that deserves to live – her life matters!

This is the face of seventeen year old Lilah, she is now loved beyond measure, has and will continue to receive much needed vet and comfort care so that she may enjoy this second chance to have the life she should have had all along – for no matter how long she is with us.

No matter her age, appearance, or health status, our goal is to provide Lilah with respect and dignity.

This is what we do here at Paws Give Me Purpose.

Sponsor A Sanctuary Resident

Adorable Frankie dreams of the day that all the abused, neglected, and unwanted animals out there can feel safe and loved just as she does.

For many of the dogs who make Paws Give Me Purpose their home, it is the first time in their lives they feel safe and loved; we try our hardest to make these feelings last forever.

Our promise to Frankie and all beautiful souls that call PGMP home is to provide a safe and loving environment for the rest of their lives. We need your support to provide them with lifetime care.

Monthly donors are our best friends; they help each animal that comes to us with immediate and sometimes life-threatening needs.

When you become a sponsor you will make wishes come true for our Sanctuary dogs. Your gift toward their lifetime care in turn helps save more lives than you can imagine.

Join our community of monthly donors and be a hero for our Sanctuary Residents. Your donations have a direct impact on how many dogs we can save. Only with your help can we say yes to more senior/special needs dogs like Frankie.

More than ever, your support is critical to our success.

Welcome Lilah

We are sadly seeing a large increase in the abandonment of senior, special needs, and hospice dogs and we are inundated with requests seeking Sanctuary by shelters and rescues.

Today the Paws Give Me Purpose Team welcomed Lilah to Sanctuary.

We were alerted by our shelter partner that this precious 17-year-old girl was owner requested euthanasia – those who promised to love her forever, first neglected her, then decided to euthanize her. Why?! How could any human be so cruel?!

This precious senior soul was in dire need of our help, of course we said yes to taking her under our wing – her life matters!

Due to the horrible mistreatment and neglect she endured, precious Lilah has several medical conditions including severe dental disease, corneal ulcers, small lumps along her back, a mass on the side of her neck, and weakness in her hind limbs. She is also blind.

Lilah deserves love, dignity, respect, and we are going to make sure she receives everything she needs and deserves. Please help us fight to give her the opportunity to live the best life possible for no matter how long she is with us. We cannot do this without YOU!

It may not be enough, but in the end we know that we are doing right by Lilah.

Please keep little Lilah in your thoughts, and if you’re able, consider donating to support her critical care.

Thank you all for your kindness, your belief and your support.
