Precious Joy is dropping in today to say hello and share her very own version of Tongue Out Tuesday.
We want to thank you all for your outpouring of love and support for this fragile girl – we never would have been able to provide her with Sanctuary without all of YOU!
Joy spends most of her time resting, has made some doggie friends that she enjoys cuddling with, and is showing us her strength, resilience and how much she wants to live this second chance at life. Together with your help, we are working hard to make that happen.
Our promise to Joy is to provide a safe and loving environment for the rest of her life, for no matter how long she is with us.
Much like the famous quote “All it takes is faith, trust, and a little bit of pixie dust,” which not only encapsulates the magic and wonder of Neverland, but highlights the importance of believing in the impossible. Here at PGMP Sanctuary miracles happen every day, and these two needed a miracle.
Meet Peter Pan and his sidekick Tinkerbell! When our friends at Hart For Animals reached out for help we immediately took these precious souls under our wings knowing our wonderful supporters would have our backs.
Just when they needed someone the most, Peter and Tink found themselves facing euthanasia due to their advanced ages and medical conditions. The light of life in their eyes was still shining and there was no way we were going to let that happen.Â
Peter and Tink are safe here at Paws Give Me Purpose, and for no matter how long they are with us, they will receive only the very best medical care, be loved beyond measure and spoiled rotten for the rest of their lives.
These two are beautiful characters, with very robust personalities. You can literally see their will to live and how much they want and like being here. Peter is of course protective of his Tink and they are both food aggressive, but food is very valuable to them and we understand that.
They both have some serious health issues, and although they are considered hospice, hospice is not about giving up; it’s about focusing on their comfort and giving them the best quality of life.
Peter and Tink need our help, we cannot let them down, we cannot do this without you!
PLEASE make a donation to help give this precious pair only the best so they can enjoy their remaining years to the fullest.
No matter their age, appearance, or health status, our goal at PGMP Sanctuary is to provide respect and dignity to all beings.
This week’s Wishlist Wednesday is brought to you by one of our newest Sanctuary residents, Joy.
After over 13 years of love and loyalty, Joy found herself repaid with a death sentence. She was someone’s baby once, but it seems although she loved unconditionally the feeling was not so mutual.
Her body frail, her soul crushed – once again we are picking up the pieces of a broken heart while trying to heal a badly neglected body.
Joy’s condition is beyond heartbreaking. She is blind, deaf, and although spayed, has mammary tumors. Additionally she has severe dental disease and she cannot walk on her own due to a severely hunched posture. From what we have learned, Joy lived in a crate and never saw the outside.
It is way past time for Joy to have this second chance at life, to be comfortable for as long as she is with us, and to feel loved beyond measure!
Please consider making a donation to help us with little Joy’s care or shopping our wish lists to donate food, enrichment, and more to our Sanctuary residents; everyone of these precious souls that walks through our doors deserves this chance to be happy.
This week’s most in need items are: Tide Hygienic laundry pods, Best Bully gullet sticks, Blue Buffalo Nudges chicken jerky cuts, Wuffes Advanced hip/joint support and XS diapers for Joy.
