Welcome Seraphina

We urgently need your help! One of our shelter partners alerted us to a tiny frail little girl in dire need of help. We of course said yes and she was rushed immediately to our Vet.

Abandoned in terrible condition, estimated to be 10+ years of age, this precious soul is emaciated, has a grade 4/6 heart murmur, multiple mammary masses, a left-sided inguinal hernia, and severe dental disease including heavy tartar, fractured teeth, loose/missing teeth, gum inflammation, infection, tooth/root abscesses. Her blood work and X-rays show she clearly has a lot going on medically, but we clearly see a light of life in her eyes, a strong will to live, and a good appetite.

This tiny, fragile soul needed us and we could not let her down. We have taken Seraphina into our care here at Paws Give Me Purpose Sanctuary – can you help us provide her with everything she so desperately needs to live her remaining golden years to the fullest?

PLEASE HELP!

Update On Izzy

We hope you are all having a wonderful Wednesday evening! We wanted to take a moment to share an update with all of you about Izzy.

For those not familiar with Izzy’s arrival to our Sanctuary, please head over to:

Precious Izzy has seen our Veterinary Team for a full exam including blood work, chest X-rays, and an echocardiogram.

While the shelter Veterinarian believed she was in heart failure, causing her to turn blue – that is not the case.

Izzy does have a high grade heart murmur and the echocardiogram also showed valve disease, but more disturbing news has surfaced.

Izzy has a severely collapsed trachea, it’s creating a narrow airway causing difficulty breathing upon overexertion. Additionally the X-ray showed one small area in her left caudal lung lobe that looks bad. She does have two mammary masses, and it seems sadly the cancer has metastasized.

Since Izzy is a spayed female, masses appearing at this stage in her life are evidence of cancer spreading – she is officially a hospice case and we will be giving her the best life possible as long as we can keep her calm and breathing comfortably.

Medications and homeopathic supplements of course are already on board to help keep comfortable. She is eating very well, and enjoying time playing with her new friends.

This precious little girl deserves some time to enjoy life and be loved after spending her life in a cage. When things become too difficult for her we will help her gain her Angel wings.

Our promise to Izzy is to give her the best life daily, unconditionally.

Welcome Amara

When we received a heart wrenching plea from Little Paws Dachshund Rescue, we knew we had to help! They were seeking emergency placement for a 16 ½ year old girl who’s world has been turned upside down – she has been through too much, and she needs us!

Amara arrived at our Sanctuary yesterday; all we know right now is that she is blind and at seems very confused about what is going on. She will need complete vetting as she has had zero vet care, and we really need your help in order to make that happen.

You can see the sadness in her eyes, and we cannot let her down! PLEASE help us help Amara – no amount is too small!
