Special needs dogs should not be defined by their circumstances, and Jasmine is not even aware that she may be different from other animals. She is first and foremost a dog, and her will to live, beyond amazing!
Dogs with special needs like Jasmine are often abandoned by humans who promised to love them forever; because of YOU, Jasmine is alive today and will be loved and cared for the rest of her life.
Paws Give Me Purpose takes in a never-ending stream of sad, hopeful, and fearful faces that look to us to make it all better.
Jasmine and all of her Sanctuary friends need people with extra big hearts to help us give them their second chance at life and becoming a Guardian Angel to our Sanctuary helps make it possible for us to provide them all with what they need and deserve.
Here at Paws Give Me Purpose Sanctuary, our mission is to provide a bridge of care that supports senior, hospice and special needs dogs so they can live their lives to the fullest.
We give these precious souls another chance at life; a chance to be loved, cherished, and learn that not all humans are unkind. There is no doubt that rescue work is difficult, and providing Sanctuary is even more difficult. Our days quickly turn into nights, and it’s a matter of fact that there is very little sleep as we provide 24/7 care.
A major part of what we do is provide ongoing medical support and treatment for the dogs in our care. We work closely with our Veterinary team to maintain a good quality of life for our Sanctuary residents for as long as they are with us.
Our days are filled with back-breaking hard work, painfully dry, cracked hands, moments of happiness, sadness and every other emotion in between. In truth, this is emotionally painful work.
