Meeting Of The Blind

Making new friends can be hard, but we at Paws Give Me Purpose believe senior special needs dogs are happiest when connected to others. They live longer, healthier and richer lives because of it.

Today there was what we call the “meeting of the blind” in the hallway of our Senior Center.

3 out of our 4 blind Sanctuary residents were clearly having some sort of get together – perhaps it’s to teach us that no matter your age or disability, human or dog, it’s never to late to make new friends.

Hobbes, Stanley and Freddie wish you all a wonderful start to the week.

Loosing Beauty Sleep

This morning, little Brownie was less than thrilled to be woken up early and taken to the Vet for her second of three heart-worm treatments.

The dirty looks and nasty barks at us were priceless! This little girl likes to sleep in, and in all fairness we awoke her from her beauty sleep so she has the right to be angry with us.

For those not aware, heart-worm treatments 2 and 3 are done back to back so the 3rd and final shot will be given early tomorrow morning – Brownie will really not be thrilled with 2 days in a row of loosing her beauty sleep.

We ask that you please send prayers and positive vibes her way for a successful outcome.

Meet Ollie

Found wandering the streets, this little 15-year-old heartbreaker is blind, underweight, has no teeth, a heart arrhythmia and possible testicular cancer.

When the shelter reached out seeking Sanctuary, we simple could not say no. We have named this precious soul Ollie and he is currently on his way to the Vet for urgent medical care.

Ollie deserves this second chance to be happy, loved and cherished; for no matter how long he is with us we guarantee he will live life to the fullest.

Ask yourself, without Paws Give Me Purpose Inc. where would Ollie be and considering making a life-saving donation today. We cannot do this without you!
