Brownie’s Arrival

Beautiful little Brownie was finally well enough to travel up north and arrived at Paws Give Me Purpose Sanctuary on Tuesday evening.

For those not familiar with Brownie’s story, please head over to: https://www.pawsgivemepurpose.com/urgent-assistance/

Big thank you to SWATT Rescue for moving quickly and putting together the transport professionally. We are forever grateful to Elaine Brown and Erica Plowman.

Also a big thank you to the SWATT Flight Angel Joyce Hubbard Brau for escorting Brownie all the way from Houston Texas to Philadelphia – we are so grateful for what you did for this precious girl.

We would also like to thank our wonderful volunteer Rosana Braude for completing the last leg of the transport and picking Brownie up at the Philadelphia airport and driving her to our Sanctuary in Southern New Jersey.

Last, but certainly not least, thank you to our fabulous PGMP mother/daughter Texas team, Kathy and Megan Clark, for moving quickly in bringing Brownie to safety, for loving, caring for, taking her to her Veterinary appointments, and SO much more. We honestly do not know what we would have done without you!

Little Brownie and all of our Sanctuary residents need people with extra-big hearts to help us give them their second chance at life and thanks to all of you, Brownie is alive today and will be loved and cared for the rest of her life.

Brownie is now in search of her very own lifetime sponsor; could you be the one to make her wish come true?

When you become a sponsor, you will make wishes come true for Brownie and all our Sanctuary dogs. Please consider becoming Brownie’s lifetime sponsor!

Meet Gigi

The Paws Give Me Purpose Team would like to officially welcome Gigi to our Sanctuary.

Little Gigi is sadly another beautiful senior soul who was extremely neglected, badly injured, and then tossed out onto the streets by those she thought would love her forever – there are truly no words that are acceptable to publicly post that can express our anger.

Gigi is a Toy Poodle and is estimated to be around 8 years of age. She is a walking skeleton, completely blind in one eye, and can only see shadows with the other. She currently only has use of 3 out of her 4 legs; one of her rear legs just dangles – it seems to be an old injury that never received medical attention therefore it healed badly. Additionally Gigi has a gash on her right knee, mammary tumors, and suffers with hip dysplasia.

Our hearts break for this beautiful girl; we can only imagine what she is thinking and feeling. Yet despite everything she has going on, Gigi is a very sweet bubbly little girl who hops around seeking out love and affection from everyone. Since her arrival, we have learned that her most favorite thing in the world is a lap to lay on and that she is afraid to be left alone and cries out for a human to be near.

Gigi is currently receiving the urgent medical care she needs and deserves. Once our Veterinary team reviews her full blood results we will know better exactly what steps we need to take in order to help her so she can live out her golden years to the fullest.

We will never really know anything about Gigi’s prior life but we do know that we could not allow her life to end in a shelter. Our goal is to provide respect and dignity to all beings, no matter their age, appearance or health status.

Your donations saved Gigi’s life! Without your support, dogs like Gigi would have no place to go. We ask that you PLEASE consider making a donation to help us with Gigi’s care.

For however long she is with us, Gigi deserves nothing but love and happiness and with your support, we will make it happen!

Just Smile

The dogs that call Paws Give Me Purpose Inc. Sanctuary home came to us when no one else stepped up for them during their critical time of need. We give them the life they may otherwise have never had. Our promise to these beautiful souls is to provide a safe and loving environment for the rest of their lives. It is often a daunting task- and at times filled with heartache.

But then there are those moments where you have to just smile and laugh at the cutest quirky things happen here on a daily basis.

Our handsome man Stan fell asleep on the edge of the water bowl – a moment we will always smile about.

These are the moments that make us feel good about what we do here even when there are many out there that disagree with it.

We hope you can all take a moment today to smile, even if it’s only for a second and enjoy this moment with all of us here at Paws Give Me Purpose.
