Meet Celine

Meet Celine! This tiny senior soul is our final 2024 intake; she’s here to tell you that getting old is most certainly not easy, she is still beautiful, inside and out, and she most certainly has value! 

Since her arrival to Sanctuary, Celine has been receiving the urgent medical care, rehabilitation, healthy diet, senior supplements and the TLC she needs and deserves. 

We have a very hard time understanding why anyone would have brought a dog like Celine into their lives only to throw her out onto the streets. 

Why? Did she get too old? After giving over 10+  years of love, loyalty and devotion to her humans, Celine still deserves to be loved and treated with dignity, and not tossed away like yesterday’s newspaper. 

For Celine, Paws Give Me Purpose Inc. Sanctuary is home. She is now safe, spoiled, and loved – as she should be! And although she suffers from some serious medical issues, she is a very happy girl. 

All dogs are beautiful, but senior dogs like little Celine have a way of touching our hearts in a way that changes everything.

Prayers For Spirit

Today we are asking for all our staff, volunteers, followers, and supporters to send positive vibes and prayers Spirit’s way as she undergoes a very urgent surgery tomorrow to remove several bladder stones. 

While we have been told by our Veterinary Team that bladder stones are uncommon in Dobermans, Spirit has them. Due to their size, surgery is the only option for her. To say we are on edge would be an understatement. 

It goes without saying that we will do whatever is necessary to help Spirit feel her best and be the most comfortable she can be after her surgery so she may continue to live out her golden years to the fullest.

Beyond Measure

For Bailey, Paws Give Me Purpose is home. A place where she is loved beyond measure no matter her medical conditions or behavior. 

We give the unwanted, abused, neglected, senior, hospice and special needs animals life for no matter how long they are with us; that is what makes Paws Give Me Purpose a special place. 

A major part of what we do here at PGMP is provide ongoing medical support and treatment for the dogs in our care. We work closely with our Veterinary team to maintain a good quality of life for our Sanctuary residents for as long as they are with us. 

Bailey has a serious heart condition that includes a tumor attached to the top of her heart. Together, that enlarged heart and tumor press on her trachea in an upward direction making breathing more difficult upon over exertion. 

Daily oxygen therapy in conjunction with medications helps us manage Bailey’s condition and keep her comfortable. 

This O2 equipment is vital for us here at the Sanctuary and we are very grateful for the Guardian Angel donation that enabled us to purchase this life saving device for our residents.
