Welcome Amara

When we received a heart wrenching plea from Little Paws Dachshund Rescue, we knew we had to help! They were seeking emergency placement for a 16 ½ year old girl who’s world has been turned upside down – she has been through too much, and she needs us!

Amara arrived at our Sanctuary yesterday; all we know right now is that she is blind and at seems very confused about what is going on. She will need complete vetting as she has had zero vet care, and we really need your help in order to make that happen.

You can see the sadness in her eyes, and we cannot let her down! PLEASE help us help Amara – no amount is too small!

Keep this precious girl in your prayers. We will keep you updated.

Please consider becoming a Sponsor or Sanctuary Guardian Angel – we cannot continue to do this without you!

Echo Day

Today was Echocardiogram day for Sanctuary residents Izzy and Snowball.

Izzy’s first echocardiogram, accompanied by some chest X-rays and a full senior blood panel.

For Snowball, a follow up echocardiogram to see how she is doing.

For both, very necessary medical care which enables us to help keep them comfortable and gives them the chance to live out their golden years to the fullest.

It’s thanks to all of you that both Izzy and Snowball are safe, loved, and receiving the medical care they need and deserve.

Stay tuned for medical updates and PLEASE consider making a donation to help with their care – this has just added on to our already enormous bills and we cannot continue to do this without YOU!

Tater Tot Tuesday

We have designated today at the Sanctuary as Tater Tot Tongue Out Tuesday!

Tater Tot is one of the sweetest, most gentle senior souls to enter our doors. We can see that she must have once been loved at some point in her life; but sadly when she became old and sick she was tossed out on to the street like a piece of trash.

But, she is with us now and with your support, we are making sure that her remaining time is what it should be – lived to the fullest! Full belly, medical care and most importantly, all the love and care that she so deserves.

“Blessed is the person who has earned the love of an old dog.” – Sidney Jeanne Seward
