Meet Truffle, this precious senior soul was surrendered to the NYCACC by those she thought would love her forever; clearly forever had an expiration date. Truffle almost lost her life when she was surrendered. Because her life matters we urgently need your help!  

Truffle is an extra fearful 11-year-old Chihuahua, with a host of medical and behavioral issues requiring immediate care and we need your help to provide her with the best care possible – for without you, our dedicated supporters, we are nothing!

Without you, dogs like Truffle would never have a second chance. Thank you for always supporting our mission – it is EVERYTHING to the animals we save.

Here at Paws Give Me Purpose, every day is a new beginning. We are that special place where they can take a deep breath knowing they are safe, smile, and start again.

For Zoey and others like her, the mistreatment, neglect and abuse they have suffered in their past clearly affects their emotional response to things and people that surround them. Those memories/experiences affect their ability to enjoy life.

Although little Zoey suffers from some major cognitive issues, she is learning how to enjoy all the moments in her life here at Paws Give Me Purpose Sanctuary. She is beginning to pay close attention to the here and now just being a dog – and that’s a beautiful fact.

Our Sanctuary Residents

Beautiful Bubbles wanted to pop in tonight, share some happy news and show off her pretty new dress.

Her sutures have finally been removed and she no longer needs to be on restricted activity or wear the surgical suits – even though she did look cute in them!

She also had her Freestyle Libre diabetic monitored attached by our Veterinary Team so we can better monitor her blood sugar and try to get her back on track – it’s been difficult to do so due to all the stress and hormonal changes her body has been going through since her surgery.

Bubbles is feeling much more comfortable – her smile says it all! She is ready to live it up and we will make sure she is loved and spoiled beyond measure!
