Urgent Help Needed

Tossed out like trash, this little 13 year old girl is emaciated and has been clearly mistreated.

Barely able to move, she’s a walking skeleton with swollen front paws and a raging infection.

Now that she is off the streets, out of the shelter and safe with Paws Give Me Purpose Inc. we need your help to help her.

We have named this sweetheart Toffee and she is being immediately admitted to the 24 hour ER hospital right this minute.

Please make a life-saving donation for Toffee now!

People continue to ask us the same question, why put yourselves through the emotional roller coaster of working with abused, neglected, senior, special needs, and unwanted animals? That can only cause you heartache.

Why don’t we just turn a blind eye? It sounds like such a daunting job! So why do we continue to do what we do? Helping a dog and seeing them blossom, enjoying life perhaps for the first time here in Sanctuary is one of the most rewarding parts of canine rescue to us.

Sadly, we are seeing an increase in abandonment of senior and special needs dogs that is simply beyond our comprehension. Tossed out like trash, emaciated and clearly suffering these 3 dogs are now off the streets, out of the shelter and safe with Paws Give Me Purpose Inc.

Asking for money isn’t easy for anyone to do, but we need your help more than ever! Sanctuary is at full capacity and taking care of all of our pups is our top priority. While we hate to continue to ask for money, we know that in order to sustain operations and help these dogs, it’s what we must do.

These 3 little girls are extremely fragile and Paws Give Me Purpose will do everything possible to help them have the best life going forward, which includes the expert medical care they need and deserve.

We will never truly know what they have been through in their lives, but what we do know is, they have a promising future.

Please make a life-saving donation and help us help them today!

Remembering Ruby

And sometimes our Sanctuary is the bridge to The Bridge…

Tonight, there is a huge cloud of sadness over our heads; our hearts were shattered as beautiful Ruby crossed to Rainbow Bridge peacefully this afternoon.

Ruby was 16 and had a good, long and well loved life until both her mommies passed away. We continued to love and spoil her while she was here, and we made sure she had the best medical care possible. It goes without saying that we did whatever was necessary to help Ruby feel her best and be the most comfortable she could be.

Her favorite treats were vanilla custard and honey goat cheese, she enjoyed sitting outside on the deck and playtime with the other senior residents in the yard – she even made a couple of old lady friends that she liked to walk around with.

This afternoon, she let us know it was time and her mommies were calling her. We let her cross the bridge on her own terms from our loving arms straight into theirs.

Thank you to Dr. Alex Witt and the entire staff of House Paws Mobile Vet for being there for Ruby  and tending to all her medical needs, as well as the needs of all our Sanctuary residents, and to all of you for your continued outpouring of support for Ruby.

You will always live on in our hearts Ruby – you were taken too soon. We were blessed to have known and been able to love you with our whole hearts!

Thank you all so much for caring and for being a support to us during this time.
