Welcome Rocky

This past weekend, the Paws Give Me Purpose Team welcomed adorable Rocky in to Sanctuary.

At just 9 years young, this precious soul was abandoned twice at the same shelter by individuals he had considered his forever family; the second surrender almost cost Rocky his life!

We cannot discuss the full details of the case at this time, but we are heartbroken that Rocky was going to lose his life.

If a dog has already been given up by their family once, they have sadly already learned to be untrusting of humans. They have been betrayed by their own pack by being dumped at a shelter. Just like with human relationships, maintaining trust requires communication and commitment. When it comes to dogs, they are one hundred percent committed to you, and they are also the most honest communicators you’ll ever meet. We owe it to them to return the favor.

Please help us welcome Rocky to Sanctuary. Help us help him heal, mentally, physically, spiritually, and learn to love and trust the human race.

Through your faith in us and your generous contributions, we have been able to save the lives of many very special dogs like Rocky who almost didn’t get a second chance.

We ask that you please consider making a donation to help us with Rocky’s care.

Meet Blondie

It’s $5 FRIDAY, and donations are greatly needed!

Found in a cardboard box by a dumpster, this tiny girl was discarded like a piece of garbage. We have named this precious soul Blondie and she is now safe and on her way to Paws Give Me Purpose Inc. because her life matters!

The heartless individual(s) who dumped her are still out there somewhere. It’s just unfathomable the unnecessary cruelty that people can commit and then walk away. Have we as human beings lost our ability to care?

Blondie is severely anemic, has a distended abdomen, and has been diagnosed with Hyperkalemia. For those not familiar, Hyperkalemia is higher than normal concentrations of potassium in the blood. Normally eliminated in the kidneys, potassium and its increased acidity in the dog’s blood can have a direct impact on the heart’s ability to function normally, making this a high priority condition.

Paws Give Me Purpose relies on donations from people like you who are willing to spend their hard-earned money to help animals in dire need like Blondie.

We know $5 doesn’t sound like it could do much, but every little bit helps; it all adds up quickly.

If you would like to donate to help us give Blondie the best chance to survive and enjoy her life to the fullest, you can do so via:

Please keep this precious girl in your prayers. We will keep you updated.

Transformation Tuesday

On this transformation Tuesday, our little Ferbie took a very big positive step – he accepted some delicious honey goat cheese from Sanctuary mom.

It may not seem like a big deal to many, but to us this is huge – Ferb is healing. His coat is growing back beautifully and he is beginning to trust his humans!

Ferbie clearly finds this cheese extremely delicious – he waits nicely for some every single day, and this is really something to smile about.

For those not familiar with Ferb’s backstory, you can read all about it at: https://www.pawsgivemepurpose.com/look-into-his-eyes/

We hope you can all take a moment today to smile, even if it’s only for a second and enjoy this moment with all of us. For these are the moments that make us feel good about what we do here at Paws Give Me Purpose.
