We are here today to share the unfortunate news that Julie’s pre op X-rays revealed she is not stable enough to go through mass removal surgery.
Her heart is extremely enlarged, so big it is crushing her trachea. There is also fluid and metastasis of the cancer.
This is not the outcome we had hoped for, and we are shattered that she was surrendered when it was too late for anyone to help her. There is absolutely NO excuse for this level of neglect and we are angry! These medical issues did not happen overnight, this is years of neglect.
Currently, Julie’s quality of life is good. She is eating, playing, has made friends and is taking various medications to keep her comfortable.
Quality of life is very important to us here at Paws Give Me Purpose. Our promise to Julie is to give her the chapter she has deserved all along, one of peace, dignity, and love beyond measure.
