Become A 2026 Guardian Angel

Here at Paws Give Me Purpose Sanctuary, our mission is to provide a bridge of care that supports senior, hospice and special needs dogs so they can live their lives to the fullest.

We are a no-kill, cage-free Sanctuary, and all of the dogs in our care live in a home setting. Care is provided 24/7.

A major part of what we do is provide ongoing medical support and treatment for the dogs in our care. We work closely with our Veterinary team to maintain a good quality of life for our Sanctuary residents for as long as they are with us.

Whether they are with us for a few hours, days, months, or years, our job here is to walk them to the bridge and hope they carry with them all the love beyond measure that we have given them as they move on to their next chapter wherever that may be. In truth, this is emotionally painful work.

We have dedicated our lives to those that no one else will save. Without our wonderful supporters, none of this life-saving work would be possible. YOU are all a major part of the work we do, and are the driving force behind us!

Please consider becoming a 2026 Guardian Angel to our Sanctuary. As a Sanctuary Guardian Angel, your gift will help provide annual care to all of our Sanctuary residents.

As a Guardian Angel you will help make a difference in the lives of the dogs we cherish.

Welcome Peggy

Surrendered to the shelter after her owner passed away, Peggy (shelter name Penny) was extremely stressed and afraid.

She is blind, her nails overgrown, her hair matted in feces, her mouth ravaged by severe dental disease, suffers from an enlarged heart, and a thoracic mass. These conditions happen slowly, this is neglect, this is criminal. This small senior dog was left to endure more than she ever should.

Peggy arrived yesterday. She is uncomfortable and exhausted, but she is safe here at PGMP Sanctuary.

We were asked by the shelter to step in when the story was already heavy, when the bills are large, when the outcomes are uncertain, and when compassion is the only clear directive. Peggy needs immediate and ongoing medical care; this is not a quick fix, but it is a chance – a second chance at life, a chance for comfort, stability, and dignity in the time she has left.

If you’ve ever wondered what saving them at the last moment really looks like, this is it!

Please open your hearts and if you are able, your wallets, and show Peggy some love. Show her that in this last chapter of life, without question, her days will be spent feeling safe and fully loved – unconditionally.

Meet Jax

Today is Tongue Out Tuesday, and one of our newest Sanctuary residents is popping in to show off his adorable tongue and introduce himself.

Meet Jax! At 13+ years of age, this precious little boy found himself surrendered to rescue when his owner developed Alzheimer’s Disease and could no longer care for him. Due to Jax’s many medical issues, our friends at Hart For Animals reached out for Sanctuary placement and the rest as they say is history.

Our promise to Jax is to provide him and all of our Sanctuary residents with a safe and loving environment for the rest of their lives. With YOUR undying support we are making it happen!

If anyone ever doubts us, know that this is what we do at Paws Give Me Purpose.
