Welcome Violet

No matter their age, appearance, or health status, our goal here at PGMP Sanctuary is to provide respect and dignity to all beings.

This week’s Wishlist Wednesday is brought to you by one of our newest Sanctuary residents, precious Violet. 

After over 10 years of love and loyalty, Violet found herself repaid with a death sentence. She was someone’s baby once, but it seems although she loved unconditionally the feeling was not so mutual. 

Her body is frail, her soul is crushed, and yet again we are picking up the pieces of a broken heart while trying to heal her badly neglected body.  

Violet’s condition is beyond heartbreaking. Her body has several nasty looking masses including an enormous one she drags around on her tail. She has many missing teeth, severe periodontal disease and a heart murmur. 

It is way past time for Violet to have this second chance at life, to receive necessary Vet care in order to be comfortable for as long as she is with us, and to feel loved beyond measure!

Please consider making a donation to help us with little Violet’s care or shopping our wish lists to donate food, enrichment, and more to our Sanctuary residents; everyone of the precious souls that walks through our doors deserves this  best chapter of their lives.

Happy Friday

Mike and Sully are popping in to wish you all a Happy Friday and an enjoyable summer weekend.

Separated by the shelter because one was considered adoptable, while the other brother was left behind. He was scheduled for euthanasia because his fear took over. He simply could not handle shelter life alone, he needed his brother. 

Thanks to HART for Animals, for pulling Mike, who ended up needing hospice care, and for alerting us about his brother Sully and bringing him to us too. 

Mike and Sully are both wonderful examples of brotherly love. They have their snitty little moments, like most siblings do, but at the end of the day they truly love each other.

Welcome Mike and Sully

There is absolutely nothing like watching these two let go, feel free and happy. These boys truly amaze us with their zest and love for life. Just watching them enjoying every moment of the day truly inspires all of us to be better human beings. 

Thanks to all of you PGMP Sanctuary is now their home where they are receiving only the very best care and are loved beyond measure. 

Thanks for giving us the ability to do what we do.

A Special Place

There are those moments in Sanctuary when you doubt what you do, simply because others don’t believe these lives matter as much as others. 

There are moments in Sanctuary when you feel like closing your doors due to the lack of public support and understanding about what it is you specifically do. Sometimes we personally go without so a dog can have a second chance at life, no matter how long or short that life may be. 

Not only is quality of life important here at Paws Give Me Purpose, quality of passing matters too. The fact that we are all born to die is something we can not change, but we do have a choice for these animals and how they die. 

Sometimes, Paws Give Me Purpose is that special place where dogs come to cross that bridge with dignity and love. 

We take pride in the work we do here at Paws Give Me Purpose, and small, daily acts of kindness and love toward our pups are what make us who we are as an organization. 

Small things with great love is what we do here at Paws Give Me Purpose.
