Meet Bacci

Please join us in welcoming beautiful Bacci to Sanctuary!

Bacci was in dire need of a special kind of retirement home, and we happily said yes when our rescue partner, Sherry’s Place Rescue, reached out to us. This precious senior officially arrived yesterday and has already begun to make herself comfortable.

At 15 years old, Bacci’s life matters and she still deserves to enjoy life, receiving only the very best medical care. This is her time to be loved beyond measure.

While we experience so much daily heartbreak here at PGMP, we are thankful for all of you. Bacci is also thankful for this second chance at life, and is already enjoying her time here with us to the fullest.

Our promise to Bacci is to provide her with a safe and loving environment for the rest of her life; no matter how long she is with us, we are committed to keeping this promise. YOUR support makes this all possible.

Please open your hearts and make a donation to help us with little Bacci’s care; no amount is too small.

This Is What We Do

The work we do here at Paws Give Me Purpose Sanctuary is a 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year commitment. There are no days off.

The reality is that most people have no idea what it takes to run a sanctuary until they’ve lived it themselves.

Nothing we do is for recognition; it’s about showing up every single day for the animals who have no one else. We work hard here at PGMP Sanctuary to provide comfort, relieve any pain and help precious souls in their remaining days live with dignity and respect.

Being an animal lover isn’t just about loving animals, it’s about being willing to do what is best for them, even when it’s difficult. While death, a part of life, is something we can not change, we do have a choice for these sentient beings and how they die. No dog no matter their age, appearance, or health status should die alone in a shelter.

Some people view hospice as giving up, as resigning to a fate. Hospice is not about giving up, it’s about focusing on comfort and giving them the best quality of life.

This is what we do here at Paws Give Me Purpose not because it’s easy, but because so many others can’t.

We know money is tight for many of you out there, and we hate asking for money, but we need your support now more than ever to continue providing the essential medical care our Sanctuary residents need.

Sponsor Winnie

Our beautiful Winnie is checking in to show you just how good she is doing. She’s even regaining some mobility!

Winnie, formerly Philadelphia ACCT Fudgey, arrived into our care completely paralyzed in the hind end along with multiple other medical issues due to a congenital birth defect which affects her spine.

While she will always have a hunched posture and need our help to urinate, the medication protocol and cold laser treatments are helping restore some mobility for her and that is something to celebrate.

Just watching her take these first steps is a very special moment to us.

This is what we do here at Paws Give Me Purpose.

If anyone is interested in becoming Winnie’s lifetime sponsor, please head over to:
