Can We Count On You

Our newest arrivals, Bandit and Yugi, are popping in to remind you all that GivingTuesday is just 2 days away!

This special day is when millions around the world unite to support the causes they care most about and the boys hope Paws Give Me Purpose is your chosen cause; without YOUR support, they would not have gotten this second chance at life.

There have been many uncertain moments this year for us here at Paws Give Me Purpose. There were times when we were not sure if we could provide the same life-saving care as we always have; however, because of each of YOU, no Sanctuary resident has gone without and we were even able to continue to help others in need.

Bandit and Yugi ask that you please save the date, make a donation, become a Sponsor, or a Guardian Angel to our Sanctuary — your gift will make a huge difference!

Together, we can continue to make miracles happen for seniors, hospice, special needs dogs like Bandit and Yugi as well as all the other loyal and loving dogs who make Paws Give Me Purpose Sanctuary their home – and we can save others.

Just A Week Away

Giving the unwanted, abused, and neglected hospice and special needs senior animals a second chance at life is what makes Paws Give Me Purpose a special place.

The dogs that call Paws Give Me Purpose Sanctuary their home came to us when no one else stepped up for them during their critical time of need. We give them the life they otherwise would have never had. Our promise to these beautiful souls is to provide a safe and loving environment for the rest of their lives. 

Pictured here is Franny. Franny came to us from the Town of Babylon Animal Shelter. Blind, and deaf at 19 years of age, when she found herself abandoned by those who promised to love her forever.

Franny is now safe, loved beyond measure and is receiving the daily medical care she needs and deserves so that she may enjoy her remaining golden years to the fullest. 

GivingTuesday is one week away – are you ready? 

Next Tuesday, December 2, we will be asking that you open your hearts and give your most generous gift, create your own fundraiser to benefit our residents, sponsor a Sanctuary resident of your choosing, give the gift of sponsorship to those you love or become a Sanctuary Guardian Angel. 

Together, we can make miracles happen for the loyal and loving dogs who make Paws Give Me Purpose their home, and we can save others. Without all of you, we are nothing.

Meet Ernie and Bert

We were recently asked by one of our shelter partners to help with a large cruelty case – 20 Chihuahuas were rescued in total.

While bringing them all into Sanctuary was not feasible, we did help with placement for some and brought a tiny bit of Sesame Street into our Sanctuary.

Meet Ernie and Bert! Despite their life of hardship, these two are the biggest sweethearts. Much like their namesakes from the public television show, one is a bit more of a grumpy personality than the other. Even when Ernie and Bert bickered on the TV show, they always found a way to stay friends, teaching us about forgiveness and reconciliation. The interactions of our very own Ernie and Bert here at the Sanctuary teach us pretty much the same lesson; that opposites can be friends, that feelings are valid, and that friendships involve laughter and forgiveness – perhaps this is their purpose.

We believe that every dog, regardless of their past, deserves a second chance. For the first time in their lives, Ernie and Bert are now safe and loved. Their bodies, souls and hearts will now begin to heal.

Welcome home, Ernie and Bert, your hardest days are behind you, and your best ones are just beginning.
