Welcome Inky

This past weekend was an extremely busy one here at Paws Give Me Purpose partially because we welcomed in this sweet, tiny senior, Inky.

Inky was originally rescued from the New York ACC by Remember Me Rescue NY, but it was discovered this precious boy had many medical issues and required much more care than originally thought, so it was decided our Sanctuary was the best option for him.

Poor Inky was sick with pneumonia and recovering with a horrible cough that continues to linger. In addition, he suffers from a heart murmur, myxomatosis valve disease, hypotrichosis (alopecia because of a congenital genetic abnormality), renal disease, rounding of the liver margin and dental disease.

Inky’s journey has just begun; his life matters and we will do everything in our power to provide him with everything he needs and deserves in order to live his golden years to the fullest.

Vet bills are growing and sadly, donations are not — we need your help!

We ask that you please consider making a donation to help us with Inky’s care and consider becoming his Sanctuary sponsor.

If you are not in the position to donate, we ask that you PLEASE SHARE.

Happy Birthday Hobbes

Yesterday was no ordinary Sunday here at Paws Give Me Purpose Sanctuary – it was an extra special day celebrating a life, a life that was almost lost.

Mr. Hobbes, our oldest senior resident, celebrated with a big Birthday bash surrounded by some staff, volunteers and all his doggies friends.

Fun, treats, cupcakes and of course presents were shared with all the dogs here in Sanctuary – big and small.

After living many years of criminal neglect and deprivation, Hobbes now knows what it is truly like to be loved and is enjoying being spoiled by so many wonderful caring people.

Please join us in wishing a very Happy 23rd Birthday to this very special boy! We know your brother Calvin is celebrating with you in spirit on this special day.

Hobbes was given a second chance at life by coming to Paws Give Me Purpose, and today was a celebration of his life.

Mica Update

On this Thankful Thursday, we wanted to share this brief Mica update with all of you.

Miracles happen every day here at Paws Give Me Purpose and Mica’s positive steps forward toward healing are truly amazing.

We were honestly so concerned Mica was going to leave us, but here we are after a grueling month of worry and we are truly grateful – grateful to all of you for supporting us whether it be with donations, prayers or kind words of encouragement.

Although Mica has much more healing to do, we just wanted to thank you all for helping us save this boys life.

Mica and his sister Pebbles are forever grateful and are making the most of this day and every day by living in the moment!
