On this Motivation Monday, adorable Jewel is popping in to show off her messy/bad hair day and asks the question, “what is wrong with this look?” She happens to like it.

Jewel is a very independent free spirit; that’s what makes her special. She is not a fan of cuddling, not a fan of handling, not a fan of grooming, and hates sitting still – but we will still get the job done.

And even though she may put up a fight when it comes to doing what is necessary, she is grateful for this second chance at life, this second chance to be loved and for all of you who helped save her life.

For our Sanctuary residents the simple things in life are the greatest things. They are much better than we are when it comes to making the most out of life; their love, loyalty and gratitude is simply immeasurable.

Tossed out on to the streets to fend for herself, this sweet, loving girl is so badly neglected and was so close to dying without ever knowing humans can be kind. We could not allow her to die alone in a shelter without the love, compassion and dignity she deserves.
