Progress Pupdate

And now for a quick pupdate…

Our precious Sanctuary resident Dot, surrendered to a shelter for euthanasia because “she could no longer walk”.

Well look at this – we are making progress!

Miracles happen every single day here at Paws Give Me Purpose – sometimes they are big sometimes they are small. This is today’s miracle.

This is what we do here at Paws Give Me Purpose.

Socks Medical Update

As much as our team hates sharing sad news, we pride ourselves on the ability to fully disclose information about our sanctuary residents to our supporters and donors.

The biopsy results on Sock’s ruptured mass have come back from the lab and it is not what we wanted to hear – Socks has soft tissue Sarcoma. The cancer is a grade 3 with a total score of 6; in short, this means it is a high grade cancer that is fast growing and is more likely to spread. We have no idea how long he has been allowed to suffer this way.

Please know that quality of life is top priority to us here at Paws Give Me Purpose, and we are making sure Sock’s has everything he needs, that he is comfortable and when the time comes the dignity he deserves.

Although we cannot change his past or take away the pain he must have felt the day his family surrendered him to the shelter, we can assure all of you that he will be happy and spoiled for as long as he is with us – he deserves this second chance.

This is not the update we had hoped for Socks, but we have high hopes he still has some quality time. We ask that you continue to send positive healing thoughts, vibes and prayers his way.

Socks is really a trooper, and one of the sweetest boys to ever enter our Sanctuary doors.

More to come on this precious soul as we monitor his medical needs and manage his care. You’ve got this Sock’s we love you and we are all in your corner!

Grateful Dot

Precious little Dot is popping in this morning to thank you all to all our wonderful followers and supporters for your undying, ongoing, and heartfelt support, prayers and messages.

Dot deserved this second chance to be loved and our promise is to provide her with a safe and loving environment for the rest of her life. If anyone ever doubts us, know that this is what we do at Paws Give Me Purpose.

Sadly, senior dogs with special needs like Dot are often dumped by those who promised to love them forever.

Paws Give Me Purpose is a Sanctuary providing a bridge of care that supports senior, hospice and special needs dogs for whatever quality time remains for them.

All of our Sanctuary residents need people like all of you with extra-big hearts to help give them their second chance at life – Dot is very grateful.
