Sweet Candy

Today, we wanted to share how thrilled we are with Candy’s progress. For the first time since her arrival, Candy has begun to be more active, enjoys spending time around some other dogs, and has even discovered that although she has no teeth at all, she can enjoy a Bully Stick in her own way.

Rescued from a hoarding type situation, little Candy is blind, deaf, and covered in masses. Regardless of this, her will to live is amazing! Although little Candy is considered a hospice due to her serious medical issues, to us she is another beautiful special needs senior soul who did not deserve to die in a shelter.

We made sure Candy received the immediate emergency care she needed and we have begun giving her the proper medications, supplements and diet in order to help her feel her best. We will make sure she continues to receive the expert care she needs and deserves.

Although we cannot change her past or take away the pain she must have felt, the day Candy arrived in Sanctuary was the beginning of her healing and her journey to enjoy the life she never had.

With you by our side, we can give Candy and many more seniors like her a fighting chance to have the opportunity to live out their golden years to the fullest.

This is what we do here at Paws Give Me Purpose.

Sponsor Snorkel

Snorkel is yet another senior dog who found himself wandering the streets, tossed out like a piece of trash. Did he just get too old to be loved? Or maybe because he was severely neglected and needed medical care, or was no longer useful for breeding?

For little Snorkel, Paws Give Me Purpose was his only chance – we were his last hope to be loved and cherished as he should have been his entire life.

Heartbreaking doesn’t begin to describe our feelings about this, but we guarantee that Snorkel will never be hurt again.

Paws Give Me Purpose is that special place where Snorkel has been taking all the time he needs to heal mentally, physically and spiritually – and he is acclimating, doing very well and in search of his very own sponsor.

For those not familiar, you can read all about Snorkels arrival to our Sanctuary at the following link:

Please consider becoming Snorkel’s lifetime sponsor! Your love and kindness ensures that we are able to provide the specialized care Snorkel needs and continue to offer sanctuary to others.

Your donations saved Snorkel’s life and so many others. We thank you all for giving us the ability to do what we do.

If anyone is interested in signing up to become Snorkel’s sponsor, please reach out to us directly.

Sponsor Mr. Ted

Paws Give Me Purpose takes in a never ending stream of sad, hopeful and fearful faces that look to us to make it all better.

Senior dogs with special needs like Teddy are often dumped by those who promised to love them forever on the street and in shelters. Because of you, Teddy is alive today and will be loved and cared for the rest of his life.

But, believe it or not, adorable Mr. Ted is still in search of his very own lifetime sponsor. Teddy and all of our Sanctuary residents need people with extra-big hearts to help us give them their second chance at life and becoming a sponsor helps make it possible for us to give Teddy everything he needs and the ability to help others.

Teddy came to us when no one else stepped up to help him during his time of need; he needed a comfy and cozy place to continue his retirement, filled with nothing but love and happiness and with your support, we are making it happen!
