Welcome Sylvester

At 15 years of age, sweet Sylvester found himself stray, and then behind shelter walls. Alone, terrified, and severely emaciated he waited for those he thought loved him, but no one ever came.

His fragile body tells a story of long-term neglect and hardship; he has no teeth left, an infected testicle, and he is blind. Since his history is a mystery, we have no way of knowing how long he has struggled to eat or how long he has endured pain with no relief.

Sylvester requires bloodwork to check for what his little body has endured and to see our Cardiologist for his heart. He has been in quarantine since his arrival for a horrible upper respiratory infection, is on antibiotics, and we have begun a very strict feeding schedule to help him slowly gain some much needed pounds. He has a tough road ahead of him, and there are no guarantees, but his life matters and we will do everything in our power to help him so that he can enjoy his remaining golden years to the fullest.

Sylvester is now safe, will never go without care, and every moment from this one forward will be filled with nothing but kindness and dignity.

Please help us give Sylvester the care he should have received all along. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help change Sylvester’s life.

Terrific Tuesday

It’s tiny Tofu’s terrific tongue out Tuesday! This precious little girl knows how to make us smile.

Whether it’s doing her little dance over to cuddle with you, or trying to steal the entire log of honey goat cheese from your hand, there is no way you can resist the urge to laugh at her total disregard for all the others who are waiting for their snack.

She hopes you all had a ridiculously amazing day and took a moment to smile for the memory of it will last forever.

Meet Mimi

It’s very easy to get wrapped up in everything going on in the world around us, but Thankful Thursday helps us here at Paws Give Me Purpose take a step back and focus on the positive.

Meet Mimi, this precious senior girl was in dire need of a special kind of retirement home, and we happily said yes when our shelter partner reached out. At 17+ years old, her life matters and she still deserves to enjoy life, be cared for, happy, and loved beyond measure. YOUR support makes this all possible.

While we experience so much daily heartbreak here at PGMP, we are thankful for all of you. Mimi is also thankful for this second chance at life, and is enjoying every day she is with us to the fullest.

Our promise to Mimi is to provide her with a safe and loving environment for the rest of her life. No matter how long she is with us, we are committed to keeping this promise.

Please open your hearts and make a donation to help us with little Mimi’s care; no amount is too small.
