We believe that every dog, regardless of their past, deserves a second chance, and Angelina certainly deserves much better than what she has had.
A victim of a big dog/little dog attack that left her with multiple broken ribs, a pneumothorax, and a dorsally displaced T11 vertebral fracture. The spinal injury resulted in hind limb lameness and ataxia. She was then surrendered to the shelter.
She is paralyzed, with internal damage to her organs leaving her unable to urinate or defecate on her own. Yes, her body is broken, but she still deserves life! She deserves to know warmth, comfort, and unconditional love. What makes this story even more heartbreaking is the fact that this precious girl is just 2 years old with a lot of life still left to live.
Angelina has already seen our Vet and unfortunately, based on the radiology report, she is not a candidate for any type of surgery and will likely never walk upright again – it is simply too late for repair.
To us, Angelina is perfect despite her condition. We need all the love and support we can get for her. This tiny soul is already showing us the true meaning of resilience and love.
