Seventeen

This is the face of seventeen years of abuse and neglect.

Bred simply to be used for seventeen years of continued breeding until she was no longer useful.

Her broken body tells us a story of seventeen years with lack of medical care, and all she wants is to be loved.

This is the face we want you all to remember, the happier face, the hopeful face, the beautiful soul that deserves to live – her life matters!

This is the face of seventeen year old Lilah, she is now loved beyond measure, has and will continue to receive much needed vet and comfort care so that she may enjoy this second chance to have the life she should have had all along – for no matter how long she is with us.

No matter her age, appearance, or health status, our goal is to provide Lilah with respect and dignity.

This is what we do here at Paws Give Me Purpose.

Welcome Lilah

We are sadly seeing a large increase in the abandonment of senior, special needs, and hospice dogs and we are inundated with requests seeking Sanctuary by shelters and rescues.

Today the Paws Give Me Purpose Team welcomed Lilah to Sanctuary.

We were alerted by our shelter partner that this precious 17-year-old girl was owner requested euthanasia – those who promised to love her forever, first neglected her, then decided to euthanize her. Why?! How could any human be so cruel?!

This precious senior soul was in dire need of our help, of course we said yes to taking her under our wing – her life matters!

Due to the horrible mistreatment and neglect she endured, precious Lilah has several medical conditions including severe dental disease, corneal ulcers, small lumps along her back, a mass on the side of her neck, and weakness in her hind limbs. She is also blind.

Lilah deserves love, dignity, respect, and we are going to make sure she receives everything she needs and deserves. Please help us fight to give her the opportunity to live the best life possible for no matter how long she is with us. We cannot do this without YOU!

It may not be enough, but in the end we know that we are doing right by Lilah.

Please keep little Lilah in your thoughts, and if you’re able, consider donating to support her critical care.

Thank you all for your kindness, your belief and your support.

Meet Peter And Tink

Much like the famous quote ā€œAll it takes is faith, trust, and a little bit of pixie dust,” which not only encapsulates the magic and wonder of Neverland, but highlights the importance of believing in the impossible. Here at PGMP Sanctuary miracles happen every day, and these two needed a miracle.

Meet Peter Pan and his sidekick Tinkerbell! When our friends at Hart For Animals reached out for help we immediately took these precious souls under our wings knowing our wonderful supporters would have our backs.

Just when they needed someone the most, Peter and Tink found themselves facing euthanasia due to their advanced ages and medical conditions. The light of life in their eyes was still shining and there was no way we were going to let that happen.Ā

Peter and Tink are safe here at Paws Give Me Purpose, and for no matter how long they are with us, they will receive only the very best medical care, be loved beyond measure and spoiled rotten for the rest of their lives.

These two are beautiful characters, with very robust personalities. You can literally see their will to live and how much they want and like being here. Peter is of course protective of his Tink and they are both food aggressive, but food is very valuable to them and we understand that.

They both have some serious health issues, and although they are considered hospice, hospice is not about giving up; it’s about focusing on their comfort and giving them the best quality of life.

Peter and Tink need our help, we cannot let them down, we cannot do this without you!

PLEASE make a donation to help give this precious pair only the best so they can enjoy their remaining years to the fullest.
