Meet Jade

There are moments when the choices we make define who we are. Here at Paws Give Me Purpose, we don’t shy away from difficult cases. We say “yes” when others feel they are too far gone. We give them their best lives for however long they are with us.

Brought into the shelter after having been found on the streets of Philadelphia, she was scared, confused, in respiratory distress and paralyzed. Medical evidence also indicates she was used for breeding and recently gave birth.

Instead of any human out there looking for their lost girl, instead of support, instead of care, she faced erasure. Used, abused and neglected. When found she was tachycardic and terrified until she received her deserved attention, affection and urgent medical care.

Her life matters and we have taken Jade, shelter name Sun, under our wings into our hearts and our care.

Please help us show precious Jade she matters. This sweet girl has been through hell, when she deserved so much better than the life she has endured. THIS is her new beginning.

100% of all donations goes toward the care of special souls like Jade who have nowhere else to turn.

Welcome Mike and Sully

Over this past weekend, Paws Give Me Purpose welcomed a tiny bit of Monster’s Inc into Sanctuary. Meet Mike and Sully (aka shelter names Taki and Bandit).

When our friends at Hart For Animals reached out for Sanctuary placement we could not deny these precious souls a place to call home.

When their only family member passed away, this bonded pair ended up behind shelter walls. These bonded brothers did not do well when they were separated at the shelter. Thankfully, Hart For Animals heard their cries and pulled them to safety.

After discovering Mike’s many medical issues, and Sully’s behavioral quirks, they decided Sanctuary would be the best place for these boys, and the rest as they say is history.

Just as in the Disney movie, when Mike says to Sully, “You and me, me and you, both of us together”, PGMP never leaves anyone behind. They are now safe here with us and will remain together.

Please consider making a donation to help us with Mike and Sully’s care. They truly deserve this second chance for life and with your help we can provide them with everything they need, including only the very best medical care, so they can enjoy their twilight years to the fullest.

Welcome Wayne

Today has been designated as Wayne’s World Monday at the Sanctuary simply because this handsome boy is now happy, extra comfortable and finds the food excellent!

At 16 years of age, Wayne found himself surrendered to a shelter by those who promised to love him forever. It was clear he had been neglected for a long time.

He was pulled to safety by Remember Me Rescue NY who discovered that Wayne was in need of Hospice care and they immediately reached out to us for help. Of course we said yes and have taken Wayne under our wing and into our hearts.

While his chest x-rays look very scary, there is so much fluid you cannot even see his heart, Wayne has been started on a medication protocol. Additionally, he will be receiving O2 therapy to help him remain comfortable.

Miracles happen every day here at PGMP and Wayne is clearly a fighter with a strong will to live deserves this second chance to be loved and cherished.

Wayne hopes you all had a marvelous Monday. He wishes you all a  week ahead filled with an abundance of magnificent moments and miracles.
