Meet Grover

Meet Grover, a super senior (well over the age of 15) and our newest resident. He arrived yesterday after our friends from the Voorhees Animal Orphanage reached out for help.

Our goal is to provide respect and dignity to all beings, no matter their age, appearance or health status.

While Grover’s history is a mystery, we do know that his condition is abysmal, pointing to medical neglect. He is blind and one eye is bulging and ulcerated, his body is emaciated and he has severe dental disease; his mouth smells like death.

Since his arrival, Grover has been resting and decompressing, he has a very hearty appetite – which is a great sign and our Vet team is already scheduled to come out to see him along with several other of our residents.

We need YOUR help in order to give this precious boy everything he needs, including only the very best Vet care; we never settle for substandard care. We just hope we are in time to give Grover the golden years he deserves.

Please open your hearts, help us fight to give Grover the opportunity to live the best life possible in his remaining years. We cannot do this without YOU!

Twenty-Onederful

There is nothing like celebrating a birthday at Paws Give Me Purpose. It’s not just a celebration of getting a year older, it’s a celebration of a life – and today we celebrated our current oldest residents Birthday.

Surrendered to a shelter in February 2021 by a family who promised love, they requested euthanasia, stating “he is too old and doesn’t like to play anymore”. This precious boy needed a comfy and cozy spot to continue his retirement, filled with nothing but love and happiness and with your support, we made it happen.

Please join us in wishing our beloved Charlie Freckles a very Happy 21st Birthday!

Meet Rudy

He gave over 15 years of love and loyalty, sitting by his only remaining family member’s side for several days after their passing. No one knew his daddy had left this world, and no one knew Rudy was left in the house to fend for himself.

When a neighbor suddenly realized they hadn’t seen Rudy or his dad in a while, they called the police; what they found was a heartbreaking scene.

Rudy was grieving, he never left his daddy side until that fateful day when he was taken to the shelter. He was sad, confused and the shelter was scary for him. And with no other family to care for this precious boy, the shelter in turn reached out for help.

Rudy’s world was turned upside down and we simply could not turn down their urgent plea.

We will do everything in our power to provide him with everything he needs and deserves, in order to live his remaining golden years to the fullest.

We ask that you please consider making a donation to help us with Rudy’s care and consider becoming his sponsor – we cannot do this without you!

If you are not in the position to donate, we ask that you PLEASE SHARE.
