Welcome Zyr

Found running in and out of traffic on the streets of New York City, this tiny, frail girl almost lost her life to a car. 

She was taken to the NYCACC where she waited in fear for her family to come and take her home but that never happened. 

Meet Zyr (pronounced Zeer). Zyr is estimated to be 12+ years old with a host of medical issues including cancer. Rated level 5 for behavior, there was no chance of adoption because the shelter was unable to properly evaluate her; she had to be sedated just for her medical exam. 

One of our rescue partners, Remember Me Rescue NY, reached out pleading for us to save her. She’s been through way too much, and she needed us. We said yes to taking her under our wing, and we will not let her down. 

Now we are turning to you, our wonderful supporters for help. Paws Give Me Purpose relies on donations from people like you who are willing to spend their hard-earned money to help animals in dire need like Zyr.

Forever Grateful

It’s very easy to get wrapped up in everything going on around us in the world, but Thankful Thursday helps us at Paws Give Me Purpose take a step back and focus on the positive. 

While it can be difficult to stay focused on the good things in life, when we deal with so much daily heartbreak, we are thankful for all of you.

Each and every one of you makes it possible for us to save the most unwanted dogs who seemingly have no hope and we are forever grateful – we believe they are, too.

Thank you for giving us the ability to do what we do!

For Blossom, Paws Give Me Purpose Sanctuary is home. She hoped for life, for love, and someone to make everything alright.
