Welcome Pumpkin

Tied to a fence in the Bronx, wearing pajamas to cover the evidence of the cruelty and neglect, this precious girl ended up behind shelter walls in dire need. We simply could not turn down the plea from Remember Me Rescue NY to help her.

Meet Pumpkin! Her body condition is deplorable and how anyone could have mistreated her this way is beyond our comprehension. Have we as human beings lost our ability to care?!

The most heartbreaking part of all of this to us is that it is clear this sweet girl has suffered for a very long time, but even though she is in such horrible condition, she looks up at us with hope in her eyes.

We can see just how much she wants to feel better and have this second chance to be loved.

We will do everything in our power to help Pumpkin and that is where YOU, or wonderful supporters come in – without you, we are nothing.

We need your help to give Pumpkin the best care so she can enjoy her life to the fullest. With the difficult medical cases that have recently walked through our doors, and continue to come in, your support is critical more than ever!

Blink Of An Eye

The work we do here at Paws Give Me Purpose Sanctuary can at times be very difficult and emotionally daunting; just when you feel like giving up, you see a small moment like this that brings tears to your eyes and a smile to your face. A single moment that makes everything we go through here worth it.

Dogs really know how to live in the moment, they don’t look back and regret the past, they don’t look forward and worry about the future. They appreciate and focus on the here and now – if only us humans could learn to live this way.

For our Sanctuary residents the simple things in life are the greatest things; like cuddling with each other. They are most definitely much better than we are when it comes to making the most out of life.

Their motto, life goes by in the blink of an eye – enjoy the moments.

Everything Nice

Sugar and Spice, don’t they look nice?!

Our bonded duo has been released from their quarantine and received a much needed grooming and bath.

The grooming began with some snarling and snapping, but once in the tub the girls became much more relaxed and actually enjoyed themselves – they are most definitely feeling so much better.

Thank you to everyone who has already donated toward their care, it is because of YOU that Sugar and Spice have this second chance to live the lives they should have had all along. While we can’t change their past, we can promise these precious girls will NEVER suffer again.

Please consider making a donation if you haven’t already done so, becoming a Sponsor or a Guardian Angel to our Sanctuary. With the difficult medical cases that have recently walked through our doors, our enormous vet bills and depleted bank account, your support is critical more than ever!
