Snowball Update

Here at Paws Give Me Purpose, we believe in full disclosure to all our followers and generous supporters. We apologize for the delay in sharing this much awaited medical update on Snowball, things here have been extremely busy.

Unfortunately, the Cardiologist’s findings are not the news we hoped for, but rest assured, Snowball is currently doing very well, she is comfortable, has a great appetite, is extremely loved and will continue to be spoiled for as long as she is with us.

Snowball underwent an echocardiogram, and the following is the Cardiologists summary of findings: Pulmonic Stenosis (PS); a cogenital heart defect caused by subvalvular, valvular or supravalvular obstruction to the outflow through the pulmonic tract/valve. Severe pressure overload to the right ventricle and compensatory hypertrophy are often noted. Progression of the disease resulting in possible heart failure or sudden death are possibilities.

We have discussed treatments with our Veterinary team and Snowball is taking supplements, some homeopathic remedies, and eating a prescription diet in order to keep her feeling her best.

Quality of life is top priority to us here at Paws Give Me Purpose, and we are making sure that Snowball has everything she needs to enjoy her remaining golden years to the fullest.

Our deepest gratitude to Susie’s Senior Dogs who has teamed up with Chloe’s Fospice Friends and awarded us a grant to help with Snowball’s care.
