Even though the work we do here can be emotionally painful, we’re starting this new week, as always, with very full hearts. Week after week we are reminded how lucky we are to be able to say yes to unwanted, abused, neglected, senior, hospice and special needs dogs. The ones whose stories aren’t in the spotlight, but whose lives still matter. Those that still have so much love left to give even if their time with us is short.
We are the ones whispering “You’re safe now” while they take their last breaths. We will keep holding them when no one else will, not because it’s easy but because they deserve this final chapter of life to be some kind of wonderful.
Iris and every single one of our Sanctuary residents is grateful to be here and we are thankful for our supporters who are the driving force behind us. YOU believe these lives are worth saving, and that is what makes it possible for us to keep our doors open for those in need.
