Here at Paws Give Me Purpose, we believe that all dogs deserve a second chance at life.

Beautiful souls like Jewel depend on Paws Give Me Purpose Inc. to give them the home and love that they need and deserve. In return, they give us priceless gifts — love, friendship, and loyalty.

Jewel has cancer. Her medical tests were completed Saturday, and the good news is that the cancer has not spread. Her lungs look clear and her heart is healthy.

We ask that you all send positive thoughts and prayers to Jewel as she heads into surgery tomorrow to remove some of her many tumors in hopes of giving her the best quality of life for as long as she is with us.

Every dog that walks through our doors is treated with excellent care, compassion and love. We doing our very best to ensure that Jewel will be able to enjoy her golden years to the fullest and be spoiled as she should be.

The handsome Phineas was not very happy with us today for taking him for some medical tests; however, we are glad we did because now we have some answers.

Proper heart medications and supplements have now been started and it is time for him to live out his senior years to the fullest and in comfort here at Paws Give Me Purpose for as long as he is with us.

For Ellie and many other special needs hospice seniors, we are that special place where they can take a deep breath knowing they are safe, smile, and start again.

Since arriving at our Sanctuary, this beautiful girl has been through a major surgery and although she requires very specialized care, she is feeling so much better!

Ellie is still on limited activity, but she is really enjoying freedom from total restriction and wearing that lovely plastic cone. She is spending time with a few of the other dogs who are more sedate and don’t get her too excited in a quieter area of our Sanctuary.

She really enjoys their company and a good bully stick to snack on.

Our promise to Ellie is to provide a safe and loving environment for the rest of her life.

We are making sure that she has everything she needs in order to enjoy her life to the fullest and is spoiled as she should be.
