Hi, my name is Nemo, I am a little old man and my home is Paws Give Me Purpose Sanctuary.
I was extremely neglected in my past and then I was left to die on the street. Thankfully someone found me and brought me to the shelter who got in touch with Paws Give Me Purpose. PGMP saved me from losing my life too soon and I am extremely grateful for this second chance.
The photo below, is a picture of my leg. Yes, I know it looks awful, like it would be a painful injury or scab of sorts, but it’s not.Â

I went to a special veterinarian and they told me it’s actually a tumor, called a hemangiosarcoma. It’s such a big scary word, but I’m not letting it bother me. The specialist advised us to leave this tumor alone, and allow me to enjoy my final chapter.
I am not in any pain, I have full use of my leg, and am very comfortable. I am in fact living my life to the fullest.
I am soaking up all the endless love here at PGMP Sanctuary. I love snuggling and playing with both my 2-legged and 4-legged friends, and enjoy the home cooked meals. My favorite is the chicken thigh and rice casserole. It’s Auntie Shelley’s recipe and it’s to die for! And when it’s not too hot, I love simply laying in the sunshine.
Even though I am old and have some pretty serious medical issues going on, my life still matters. I am not ready to leave this world just yet, and when it’s time I will let my PGMP family know.
For now, I wag my tail, I lean my head into my people’s hands and sigh with trust; I know they love me.
Love does not have an expiration date; senior dogs like me deserve forever too no matter how long or short that forever may be.
Please don’t give up on your senior dog. I am here to tell you that dogs like me are so incredibly worth it!
