His Life Mattered

We have some heartbreaking news to share, earlier this week, Milo gained his angel wings.

While the nature of the work we do here does require extra special hearts, the passing of a Sanctuary resident never gets easier and we are all extremely heartbroken.

We were really looking forward to getting to know Milo, watching him flourish and enjoy his remaining golden years with the other senior pups here. It is extremely difficult when we only have a short time with a sanctuary resident, this type of loss hurts us so deeply.

Estimated to be over 18 years of age and suffering medical issues, it was expected Milo would not be with us long, but we did not expect him to leave us so soon.

The only peace we find is that Milo did not die alone in a shelter – his life mattered and he deserved to know love, kindness and dignity. It is clear to us that he felt comfortable and safe enough here at Paws Give Me Purpose Sanctuary to let go peacefully on his own terms.

Thank you to each and every one of you who fought alongside us to give Milo a chance at everything this world deprived him of.

Thank you also for caring and for being a support to us during this time.
