Dexter is popping in on this Thankful Thursday to say hello to our wonderful followers and supporters.
Found unresponsive on the streets of Philadelphia, this precious boy was immediately sent to an off site hospital by Philadelphia ACCT Shelter.
Dexter was limp and exhibiting extreme neurological symptoms. Thanks to the quick response by the shelter and Pase hospital, his life was saved and we are forever grateful!Â
Sadly Dexter tested positive for having cocaine in his system; yes you are reading that correctly, cocaine. We have no way of knowing how long he has suffered, regardless, this horrific chapter of his life is now over. Dexter deserves this second chance to be loved and cared for, and we will give him that chance. Dexter is already receiving only the very best medical care he needs and deserves; we won’t settle for anything less.
Our promise is to provide him and all of our Sanctuary residents with a safe and loving environment for the rest of their lives. With your support we are making it happen!
Yesterday, for the very first time, he slowly wagged his tail and gave Sanctuary mom kisses.
Please consider making a donation to help us with Dexter’s care. With the difficult medical cases that have recently walked through our doors, and continue to come in, your support is critical more than ever!
