Precious Rose (formerly Rosie Perez, Philly ACCT-A-250664) is finally strong enough to head into surgery today. Our surgeon will remove the enormous weight she has been carrying on her tiny body for far too long. “Harry the Hernia’s” removal is necessary comfort care.

Our vet Team has stated that this is one of the largest hernias they have ever seen. Rose certainly did not deserve to be neglected this way and then tossed out onto the city streets like trash. This behavior by any human being is completely unacceptable! We are doing our best to pick up the pieces and give Rose the best days of her life for her time with us.
Love doesn’t have an expiration date; senior dogs deserve forever too. Life is a reminder that no matter how old or frail, precious souls like Rose deserve to know warmth, comfort, and unconditional love.
Welcome home, Rose. Your hardest days are behind you, and your best ones are just beginning.
Please. If you are reading this, if you have ever loved a dog, if you believe that one gentle, brave senior’s life matters, donate, share, do whatever you can to send little Rose some love.
