Meet Cinderella

Happy Tongue Out Tuesday from our beautiful Cinderella.

From the moment she arrived, we saw her heart. She is the gentlest, kindest little soul.

When she arrived through our Sanctuary doors, she was weak and tired. We truly believe we had gotten her to safety just in time.

She soaked up a warm bath like she had been waiting her whole life to feel comfort, melted into towel snuggles and happily devoured a warm, home-cooked meal. For the first time in perhaps a long time, she is content, safe, loved.

Cindy’s life matters, even if her time with us is short. She will know warmth, a full belly, gentle hands, and be loved beyond measure.

Sanctuary is hard. It shatters you in ways you can’t explain, but every single moment is worth it!

Thank you for giving us the ability to do what we do.

Cindy wishes you all a Tuesday filled with sunshine, laughter, and moments that make your heart dance.

Meet Cinnamon

Popping in to say hello is one of our newer senior Sanctuary residents, Cinnamon (formerly Coco Phila ACCT-A-248289).

Since arriving into our care, we have been working to manage her medical conditions as well as helping her gain some confidence and learn to trust those that care for her.

After some much needed decompression time and quarantine due to an upper respiratory infection, Cinnamon has now made herself comfortable with our Sanctuary Chihuahua gang.

Her seizures are currently under control, her appetite is good and she is beginning to get some pep back in her step.

Our promise to Cinnamon and all our Sanctuary residents is to give them their best lives daily with unconditional love for the rest of their lives.

She wants you all to know how grateful she is for this second chance at life. Without your support this would not have been possible. Thank you for giving us the ability to do what we do – these lives matter too!

Please consider making a donation towards Cinnamon’s care.

Welcome Yoda

Alone and heartbroken, this precious senior wandered the streets of New Jersey. Lost, then found, he was taken to the Voorhees Animal Orphanage where he sat confused, waiting for his family to come and find him; unfortunately, that never happened.

When our shelter partner reached out to us for help, there was no denying this precious soul a soft place to land, in our Sanctuary.

Meet Yoda! Did he just get too old to be loved? or was it that you allowed his hair to become matted to his skin so badly because he leaks urine? Or maybe it was his awful arthritis. Whatever the case, he was clearly neglected then tossed out like a piece of garbage. It is sadly clear he was not seen as deserving of dignity by someone out there.

The most heartbreaking part to us is that this sweet boy has suffered for a very long time, yet he looks up at us with such hope in his eyes.

Above all else, we at Paws Give Me Purpose put quality of life first, and Yoda most certainly has shown us his desire for life, for love and this second chance.

Our mailbox and voicemail are full, the requests for Sanctuary are nonstop. It is heartbreaking work and we work 24/7 to make sure these deserving souls receive the second chance they deserve for no matter how long they are with us. As long as there are dogs like Yoda in the world, we will be here, fighting for them.

Without YOU we cannot continue to help dogs like Yoda who suffer at the hands of careless, heartless people who treat them like objects that can be simply discarded when they are done with them – so please give.
